Newtown Dental Practice is based in Newtown, Birmingham and was established more than 40 years ago. The aim of Newtown Dental Practice is to be the best emergency dentist in Birmingham by following best practice guidelines and delivering high quality care, excellent customer service and value for money. We understand that for many elderly, young and anxious patients, visiting the dentist can be uncomfortable, but we endeavour to put ever patient at ease.
We take great pride in the quality of our dentistry and want to make your visits as pleasant as possible. We want to ensure good dental health for you and your family and we will achieve that through an excellent standard of dental and preventative care. We always welcome new patients and our dedicated staff will ensure you are treated in a professional manner.

Meet The Team
Nina Begum
I embarked on my professional journey more than three decades ago as a Trainee Dental Nurse. Through unwavering dedication and a steadfast commitment to personal growth, I gradually ascended through the ranks, acquiring diverse expertise along the way. My most recent position entailed serving as a Group Manager, overseeing multiple practices. However, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to provide exceptional care, I made the decision to purchase my own dental practice. Today, with over 12 years of successful ownership under my belt, I find immense fulfilment in working directly with the public, assisting others, and delivering outstanding services. Ensuring that every individual leaves my practice with a smile is not only a professional priority but also a deeply cherished aspect of my work.
Nina speaks English, Punjabi and Urdu.
Dr. Ashish Pandit
BDS, MSc (Implantology)
Ashish graduated in 2007 from the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, India.
He started his career with a unique job – working aboard a luxury cruise ship as a cosmetic dentist! After visiting more than 45 countries, he decided to quit his flamboyant life style and move to the UK to grow in clinical dentistry.
After practising general dentistry for a while, he forayed into cosmetic dentistry and eventually obtained his Master's degree in dental implantology from the renowned University of Central Lancashire (UCLan)
Ashish has been extensively trained in various aspects of implant dentistry including bone grafting, sinus lift procedures and periodontal plastic surgeries.

Ashish is a member of the International team for Implantology (ITI) and also of the Association of dental implantology (ADI) and regularly attends lectures and conferences on all aspects of implantology to maintain and upgrade his knowledge in this field.
Ashish firmly believes in passing his knowledge and experience to others without holding anything back-all for the successful oral rehabilitation of patients and that's why he has forayed into teaching. He is an assistant MSc tutor where he mentors relatively inexperienced dentists entering the field of implantology and is also actively involved in conducting short courses for general dentists empowering them to restore and maintain dental implants.
With a gentle surgical hand and a keen aesthetic sense, Ashish strives to provide dental implants and cosmetic dental treatments to all his patients.
Outside of dentistry, Ashish is an avid reader and enjoys music and cricket.
Dr Fariba Younes
Highly Trained senior dentist with over 25 years of experience with general Dentistry, oral surgery, implants, dentures, bridges, veneers and other advanced treatment. she was awarded a master in oral surgery from university of London in 1994. (Private booking available)
Dr Fariba speaks English, Turkish, Kurdish and Farsi.
Dr H Nanavaty BDS,LDS,RCS(Edin.)
Mr Nanavaty has been a long standing dental practitioner. He was born and raised in India. He completed his dental studies from Royal College of Surgeons Edin. Then proceeded to gather further experience and training at hospital in Canada. He worked for a short period in the US and then returned to the UK to practice as a dental associate in several practices in the home counties. Opportunity knocked at his door and in the 90s he went to Germany bought his own practice which he worked for many years to gain knowledge of the German Healthcare system which was far much advanced and superior compared to UK and only returned to get married to his wife who had recently arrived in Britain.
Currently he work part time in the NHS and private, the rest of the time being spend to follow his other interests and pursuits.
Adil Murtaza
Dentist GDC number 223233 - Adil graduated in 2003 and came to the UK in 2006 as an oversees graduate. He completed a number of post graduate courses: LDS (London), MFDS (Edinburgh), FFD (Dublin), PGCert (Restorative) and PGCert (Implantology). Having gained valuable experience for over 5 years in hospitals across the UK in Adil's specialist area of interest, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery he returned to General Practice in 2013. Adil has recently started implant dentistry and looks forward to extending his practice base around this aspect of dentistry in the future. He also enjoys teaching newly qualified dentists and sharing knowledge and experience to ensure the highest quality dental treatment.
Outside of dentistry Adil actively participates in cricket, squash and badminton
Abayomi Ajewole
Dental Therapist
Abayomi is a dedicated dental therapist, with expertise in providing restorative treatments such as fillings for both adults and children. Passionate about preventive care, Abayomi works to improve oral health outcomes through patient education and tailored treatment plans.
Rosi Shrestha
Trainee Dental Nurse
Rosi Shrestha embarked in the journey to give a good quality life to people, through dental practice. So, as to start a career in those practices in UK she felt a good start would be with a dental nursing.
Rosi joins us as a trainee dental nurse. She enjoys her line of work with passion and care.
Rosi enjoys experiencing different cuisines, feeling nature and traveling.

Bashayer joined Newtown dental practices to pursue her career in the field of dentistry. Bashayer enjoys reading, exploring and traveling abroad to learn different cultures and loves watching movies

Rajat is a Surgery Services Coordinator from Nepal. He enjoys every aspect of his work and tries to fulfill his duties with a lot of care and passion.
He loves traveling, music, cooking and nature.

Currently Healthcare management student and Arden University, Diploma level 5 in Leadership and Management, diploma level 3 in dental nursing, Radiography, diploma level 3 in childcare, nvq 2 and 3 in health and social care.
